A Pottery Perusal
The Spring equinox has left us with feelings of freshness and filled our minds with both the promises of the summer to come and the beauty of the spring that is all around us right now. Flowers, of course, are a huge part of this wonderful time of year, so what better way to celebrate, than to delve into some of the wonderful artisan and small batch artists, creating breathtaking vessels for the spring’s colourful bounty. We have sprinkled in a few of our favourite floral Sulis artworks to complete this perusal of pottery and petals.
Tactile, folk inspired and finished in high gloss glaze, absolutely all boxes ticked! Julie Brouant has filled our hearts with smiles and spring fever, here in the Sulis Studio.

Frances Palmer knows how to let flowers do the talking, with their collection of paired back, minimalist vases in classic shapes designed with floral arrangemnet in mind. A * little * more on the pricey side, but worth it for a truly timeless piece of design.

Lydia Horne is creating some of the most beautiful folk inspired pieces we have seen. She uses sgraffito to build intricate scenes with mythical narratives. These little slab pots are definitely our favourites.

Lily Anna Armstrong’s collection of ceramics is massive and we are in love with every single piece. From pendants to milk cartons, candlesticks to spoons, in the eyes of Lily Anna Armstrong, anything can be beautifully crafted in porcelain and it’s a world we would give our left kidney to live in!

We think these monochrome vessels from Eden Clifton are the perfect accompaniment to a vivid posy of spring blooms. The trouble is, we just can’t choose which one! We hope you have more luck choosing than we did!
